On February 4, 1970, the plaintiff was found guilty by a jury of the crime of receiving stolen goods in violation of General Statutes § 53-65. The plaintiff appealed to the Supreme Court of Connecticut, which affirmed the conviction on April 5, 1973; 164 Conn. 560; and the plaintiff then filed with the Supreme Court of the United States a petition for a writ of certiorari which was denied in October, 1973. 414 U.S. 976.

In the instant action, the plaintiff has petitioned for a new trial under § 52-270 of the General Statutes and requests that the verdict and judgment of guilty entered against…
