ALTENBERND, Judge.

Yusef Furqan petitions this court for a writ of certiorari concerning an order entered in June 2011, which continued his involuntary commitment to the Department of Children and Family Services (DCF). We deny his petition.1 The circuit court did not depart from the essential requirements of the law in failing to address whether a conditional release order was appropriate under the circumstances of this case. Furthermore, it correctly decided that it did not have the authority to direct the DCF to place Mr. Furqan in any particular facility. See Dep’t of Children & Families…
