Brown v. Department of Social Services

Michigan Court of Appeals

Decided March 14, 1983No. Docket No. 58742Published

1Per curiam

Plaintiff sought workers’ compensation benefits from her employer, the Michigan Department of Social Services. She claimed that she was injured in a fall at work on June 15, 1976. Following a hearing held December 23, 1978, the hearing referee determined that plaintiff did not prove that her injuries were work-related or that they were disabling. On June 26, 1981, the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board (WCAB) reversed the hearing referee’s determination. The WCAB entered an open award of $100.12 per week from June 16, 1976.
