The present appeal arises out of a declaratory judgment action brought to test the validity of a Cook County zoning ordinance and a denial by the county of a special use permit for operating a sanitary landfill. The plaintiffs include the trustee who holds legal title to the subject property, the beneficiary of the land trust, and John Sexton Contractors Co.
