SHANGLER, Presiding Judge.

The defendant Donohoe was convicted by a jury of the knowing possession of cocaine in violation of § 195.020, RSMo 1986. He was sentenced to a term of one year in the county jail. The evidence used to convict the defendant was the result of a noncon-sensual search of the interior of the vehicle Donohoe was driving at the time of his arrest. The defendant moved to suppress the evidence under § 542.296, RSMo 1986 as the result of an unlawful search and seizure. The trial court denied the motion and received the evidence.
