HANSEN, Circuit Judge.

A jury convicted James Larry Deitz of one count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841 (“drug charge”) and one count of use of a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c) (“firearm charge”). The district court1 sentenced Deitz to a 41-month term of imprisonment on the drug charge and a consecutive 60-month term of imprisonment on the firearm charge followed by a three-year period of supervised release.
