Subsequent to his plea of guilty, Private Arbic was convicted by a general court-martial of violating Article 86, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 886. The accompanying specification alleges his absence without leave from Company I, 3d Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division (Rein), Fleet Marine Force, Camp Pendleton, California, for the period August 15, 1962, until August 10, 1965.
