People v. Brander

The criminal court of Cook county overruled the motion of plaintiff in error, Charles E. Brander, alias Cavanaugh, to quash an indictment against him returned into that court by the grand jury, and he was put upon trial. The indictment contained four counts, the first of which charged him, as agent and clerk in the employ of “American Express Company, an association,” with embezzlement of goods, money and property of said company.
