CODY, Justice.

This is a suit in trespass to try title to certain land in Har ; County, and to recover oil, gas and other minerals taken therefrom, which plaintiff filed on November 25, 1940, against various defendants, including the Stanolind Oil and Gas Company and the Amerada Petroleum Corporation. The Stanolind Oil and Gas Company, hereafter referred to as the Stanolind, and the Amerada Petroleum Corporation, hereafter referred to as the Amerada, filed their answer on December 13, 1940.
