AINSWORTH, Circuit Judge.
This appeal concerns the construction of a contract made for the services of a cook on an oceanographic research vessel, the Glomar Challenger. That a contract enforceable by the cook was made is no longer questioned. The parties here dispute the term of service for which they contracted. The District Court, steering a middle course through the waters of contention, determined that the term of service was for one voyage of the Glomar Challenger.
