The defendant was charged by information of the public prosecutor with the crime of manslaughter in willfully and unlawfully shooting one C. A. Paekenham, at the county of Ada, state of Idaho, on the twenty-fifth day of November, 1903. The trial, which took place in February, 1905, resulted in a verdict of guilty, and the defendant was thereafter sentenced to imprisonment in the state penitentiary for a term of six years.
