Defendant Jerry Gillespie appeals from orders of the circuit court denying him leave to file his third and fourth successive petitions for relief under the Post-Conviction Hearing Act (Act) (725 ILCS 5/122—1 et seq. (West 2008)) and dismissing two petitions for relief under section 2—1401 of the Illinois Code of Civil Procedure (Code) (735 ILCS 5/2—1401 (West 2008)). For the following reasons, we affirm.
