The plaintiff, Joyce Brown, filed suit against the defendants, John Mason, Jr., and Lakeview Medical Center, for medical malpractice. The trial court dismissed the complaint, holding that the plaintiff’s cause of action was barred under section 13 — 212 of the Code of Civil Procedure (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1983, ch. 110, par. 13 — 212).
