OPINION

Opinion by Justice CARTER.

A jury convicted Jeremy Ray Brown of aggravated sexual assault of a child and assessed punishment at seventeen years’ imprisonment. 1 Brown appeals. We reverse the judgment of the trial court and remand for a new trial.

Background

Brown lived with and worked for Anthony Huggins, who had two children, including a ten-year-old daughter, A.N.H. A.N.H. performed oral sex on Brown at least once during the four-plus months Brown stayed with the Huggins family. A.N.H. told her father about Brown’s sexual encounters with her.
