The defendant was indicted for unlawfully and knowingly bringing from the State of Kentucky two mules of the value of one hundred dollars each, the property of Cephas Jewell, then and before that time, having been feloniously taken, stolen and carried away from the said Jewell, in Ballard county, Kentucky, *425he well knowing the same to have been stolen at the’ time he brought them from said State into the county of Robertson. He was convicted, and sentenced to the penitentiary for the term of eight years.
