PRADO, Circuit Judge:
Alfredo Antonio Guillen-AIvarez (“Alvarez”) appeals the sentence imposed by the district court after his plea of guilty to illegal reentry after deportation in violation of 8 U.S.C. § 1326(a). For the reasons that follow, we AFFIRM the sentence imposed by the district court.
I.FACTUAL AND PROCEDURAL BACKGROUND
On July 13, 2005, Alvarez pleaded guilty to illegal reentry after deportation in violation of 8 U.S.C. § 1326(a). His Presen-tence Report (“PSR”) calculated a base offense level of eight and recommended a sixteen-level sentence enhancement on account of Alvarez’s 2000…
