Reginald Bernard Roberson appeals his conviction and twenty-year sentence for jumping bail in violation of La.R.S. 14:110.1. For the following reasons, we vacate his conviction and sentence.

FACTS

On September 20, 1999, the Defendant, Reginald Bernard Roberson, was sentenced to serve ten years at hard labor on convictions for one count of possession of a controlled dangerous drug, Schedule II, and two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous drug, Schedule I, with intent to distribute.
