On January 31, 1985, the bar date for filing proofs of claim for asbestos-related property damage, the Creditors Committee for Asbestos-Related Property Damage School Claimants (“Schools Committee”) filed a so-called “class” proof of claim on behalf of all schools and school districts in the United States (“school claimants”).
