On March 5, 1923, an information was filed in the Circuit Court of Scott County, charging that the defendant, at said county, on or about January 29, 1923, unlawfully and feloniously did buy and receive eight twelve-pound caddies of star tobacco of the value of $71.04, of the goods and chattels of the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway Company, a corporation, then lately before felonious stolen, taken and carried away, he, the said William Levan, then and there well knowing the said goods and chattels to have been feloniously stolen, taken and carried away as aforesaid, etc. The information is…
