In this appeal from a final order of removal, we must determine whether the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) erred in rejecting Petitioner Ajmal Jahed’s claim of United States citizenship. Jahed, a native of Afghanistan, contends that he attained derivative citizenship pursuant to 8 U.S.C. § 1432(a) after his parents’ 1991 Pakistani divorce and upon his father’s 1995 naturalization.
