April 24, 1930, James J. Byrnes and Edith R. Byrnes, his wife, citizens of this Commonwealth, residing in the City of Philadelphia, petitioned the municipal court of Philadelphia County, for leave to adopt Elizabeth McCann, a minor child born to one Mildred V. McCann in the Saint Vincent’s Hospital for Women and Children, in the City of Philadelphia, on November 12, 1928.
