On September 26, 1958 appellant, The Armstrong-Norwalk Rubber Corporation, filed a complaint against appellee, Local Union No. 283, United Rubber, Cork, Linoleum and Plastic Workers of America, A. F. L.-C. I. O., in the District *619Court for the District of Connecticut, alleging the following facts:
