This case arises out of the dissolution of the marital and professional partnerships of plaintiff Erie Chan and defendant Heather Schatz. Prior to their decision to divorce, Chan and Schatz, both artists, “publicly presented] ... works as a collaborative effort.. under the single name, ChanSchatz.” Compl. ¶¶ 1-3, Dkt. No. 1.
