Defendant was indicted in the district court for subornation of perjury. On that indictment he was tried, convicted, and sentenced, and therefrom sued out a writ of error to this court. The indictment contained sixteen counts charging eight different offenses, each offense being presented in two separate counts, framed under different sections of the statutes. The substance of the offenses charged consisted in the defendant’s procuring certain unknown persons to go before the officers of the local land-office at Denver, and swear to affidavits required for entering land.
