In this direct criminal appeal, appellant seeks review of his conviction, following a jury trial, for accessory after the fact to second-degree murder with a firearm, in violation of section 777.03(l)(c), Florida Statutes (2005). He contends that (1) the information was fundamentally defective because it did not include either the essential elements of the second-degree murder to which he was allegedly an accessory after the fact or a reference to the statute that proscribes that offense; and (2) the trial court reversibly erred when it denied his motion for a judgment of acquittal.
