This matter now comes before the surrogate on an application by the brother of the deceased, to compel the administratrix, who is the widow of the deceased, to pay to him the balance of a bill incurred by him for the funeral of his deceased brother.

The estate now in the court is a very poor one, and if the widow is compelled to discharge the balance here demanded, she will have nothing left for herself after the expenses of administration are discharged. The deceased died in Texas, and his body was improperly, under the circumstances of his estate, sent here for burial. It appeared…
