*783This court presided over the trial of the above defendant. The defendant was indicted for two counts of attempted murder in the second degree, four counts of assault in the first degree, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree and other related crimes in connection with the shooting of George Bennett and Leon Burton on August 30, 2001.
