The facts in the case, as disclosed by the findings of the trial court, are as follows:

A contract for the construction of the Young Mens Christian Association building in the city of St. Paul was awarded to George J. Grant. In preparing his proposal for the contract, Grant obtained from other contractors proposals or bids for different parts of the work. He offered the marble and tile work in one subcontract.
