This is an action by A. W. Marshall in the county court to recover of the Texas & New Orleans Railroad Company damages in the sum of $995.

Plaintiff, Marshall, had purchased of the ticket agent of defendant at Liberty two tickets, one for his sister-in-law and one for himself, from Liberty to Lake Charles, La. Each ticket contained two coupons; one entitling the holder to transportation from Liberty to the Sabine river, and the other from the Sabine river to Lake Charles.
