This action was brought to recover damages for the breach of a contract of employment. The complaint alleged that on the 11th day of April, 1893, a contract was entered into for the employment by the defendant of the plaintiff’s testator as manager of its yibbon sales department for one year from that day, the due performance thereof by the deceased, and his wrongful discharge by the defendant on July 1, 1893.
