Indicted for grand larceny, the defendant, William Walker Roberts, was convicted by a jury of the lesser-included oifense of receiving stolen property. In accordance with the jury’s verdict, the trial court sentenced the defendant to serve twenty years in the state penitentiary. We granted the defendant an appeal limited to assignments of error alleging that the trial court erred:
