Plaintiff appeals from the orders of the trial court granting defendant’s motion for summary disposition and denying plaintiff’s motion to amend his complaint.

This case involves the intentional tort exception to the exclusive remedy provision of the Workers’ Disability Compensation Act, MCL 418.131; MSA 17.237(131) (hereafter, § 131). Plaintiff argues that the trial court erred in finding that the 1987 amendment of the act should be applied retroactively.
