FENNER, Judge.

Appellant, Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission (MHTC), appeals from a jury verdict against it and in favor of respondents, Felicitas Oldaker and Reta Gaye Oldaker. This case arises out of an automobile accident which occurred on December 15,1984, in which accident Lawrence Oldaker was killed. Felicitas Oldaker was the wife of Lawrence Oldaker and Reta Gaye Oldaker was his mother. The verdict was in the amount of $827,000.00 with fault assessed at 90% against MHTC and 10% against Lawrence Oldaker. The verdict was reduced to $802,000.00 in accordance with the assessment…
