After a jury trial, defendant was convicted of murder (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, par. 9 — 1(a)(2)) and arson (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1977, ch. 38, par. 20 — 1) and sentenced to serve a term of 100 to 150 years.
