Plaintiff, Stephanie Dickson, appeals from the summary judgment entered in the circuit court of Sangamon County in favor of defendant, West Koke Mill Village Partners, on the basis that the cause of action was moot. The trial court declined to consider plaintiffs motion for class certification because plaintiffs claim was moot. We consider the propriety of the summary judgment de nova (Jackson v. Graham, 323 Ill. App. 3d 766, 779, 753 N.E.2d 525, 536 (2001)) and review the ruling on the class certification under an abuse of…
