In August of 1980, Deral Gene Holman and his three sons, Deral Keith Holman, Donald Bruce Holman and Michael Holman, together with a family acquaintance, John Mallory [“Johnny”] Obert, were indicted for conspiring to possess marijuana with intent to distribute, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1) and 846, and for possessing with intent to distribute marijuana, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 841(a)(1) and 18 U.S.C. § 2.
