CA JONES v. Commonwealth

This case is sequel to Jones v. Commonwealth, 217 Va. 226, 228 S.E.2d 124 (1976), and involves the same defendant, Carson Alvin Jones, and the same shooting incident. With a single shotgun blast, the defendant killed Billy Hugh Sutphin and wounded Jeral Lee Gillispie. In the earlier case, the defendant was tried by jury for murder but found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the death of Sutphin.
