This appeal is from the ruling of the district court of Douglas county in an application for compensation under the soldiers’ compensation law of Kansas, denying the application on the ground that the claimant had failed to establish that he was a resident of the state of Kansas at the time he enlisted in the service, and from the further order of the district court overruling claimant’s motion for a new trial because of newly discovered evidence.
