MEMORANDUM ORDER
REBECCA BEACH SMITH, District Judge.
These two cases are before the court for resolution of plaintiffs’ motion to alter or amend a judgment pursuant to Rule 59(e) of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. 1 On June 4, 1996, the court granted defendant Edward L. Brown’s motion’s for summary judgment in both eases. The court found that plaintiffs were required to exhaust their internal union remedies against Brown before bringing their statutory claim under section 501(a) of the Labor Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA).
