liThe defendant, Christopher Dewayne Fisher, was charged via bill of information with one, count of forcible rape, in violation of La. R.S. 14:42.1. He was convicted, by a jury, of the responsive charge of attempted forcible rape. The defendant filed a motion for a new trial and a motion for a post-verdict judgment of acquittal. Both motions were denied. He was subsequently adjudicated a third-felony offender, pursuant to La. R.S. 15:529.1(A)(3)(b), and sentenced to life imprisonment at hard labor without the benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of. sentence.…
