The appellants brought this suit in the district court 1 seeking, inter alia, to enjoin a scheduled nominating meeting 2 and to have certain election bylaws of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers of America, Philadelphia Joint Board (“the union”), declared to be in violation of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (“LMRDA”), 29 U.S.C. § 401 et seq. 3 Injunctive and declaratory relief was denied as was their motion for a stay pending appeal.
