WINTERSHEIMER, Justice.

This appeal is from a judgment based on a jury verdict which convicted Ruppee of first-degree robbery and sentenced him to 15 years. He was also convicted as a first-degree persistent felony offender and his sentence was enhanced to 35 years in prison.

The questions presented are whether Ruppee was substantially prejudiced and denied his right to confrontation when a police officer was permitted to testify about his investigation; whether it was reversible error to allow the deposition of an absent witness; whether the defendant was denied a fair trial by the…
