Petitioner Edwin I. Hatch (“Petitioner”) asks this court to set aside the decision of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (the “Commission”) denying Petitioner’s application for authorization to hold interlocking directorships in certain corporations. 1 Petitioner contends that the Commission acted arbitrarily and in violation of its statutory mandate under section 305(b) of the Federal Power Act (“the Act”), 16 U.S.C. § 825d(b), 2 by refusing to allow him to hold simultaneously the positions of director of a public utility and director of an entity authorized to…
