These appeals were combined for consideration before the court en banc as they concern the single issue of whether an increase in value, during marriage, of non-marital property is marital property subject to equitable distribution under the Divorce Code of 1980, 23 P.S. § 401(d), as qualified by definitions of “marital property” contained in section 401(e), (1), (3) and (f).
