This was an action in the Court of Common Pleas for Charleston County to recover actual and punitive damages for personal injuries and property damage sustained on September 15, 1953, allegedly resulting to plaintiff-respondent when an automobile owned and operated by her was involved in a collision in the City of Charleston with a furniture truck owned by the defendant-appellant and operated by one of his agents.
