Following a collision in which a tractor-trailer hit her car from behind, Laverne Kelley filed suit against the truck driver, Alvaro Enrique Aquilar; the company which owned the truck, Blue Line Carriers, LLC; Blue Line’s insurance company, Aequicap Insurance Company; and John Doe. In Case No. A09A1070, Kelley appeals the trial court’s grant of partial summary judgment to Blue Line on her negligent hiring, entrustment, supervision, and retention claim.
