I-IOFFMAN, District Judge.
The question raised by the demurrer in this case is whether the respondent, being a married woman, is liable on a contract to pay rent, and if she has committed an act of bankruptcy, can be adjudged bankrupt. It appears that the husband of the respondent has long since renounced and abandoned all his marital rights and duties. For twelve years Mrs. Lyons has lived separate, and apart from him, supporting herself and her minor children by her own exertions.
