This is an action for libel, which was originally begun against the First National Bank of Bend and C. S. Hudson, its president and general manager. The complaint was filed on December 8, 1925, and amended complaint was filed on June 7, 1926. The matter ran along without an answer being filed, and on May 10, 1927, the bank became insolvent and H. F. Schilling was appointed receiver by the Comptroller of the Treasury.
