The defendant who has been convicted of the crime of murder in the first degree alleged exceptions at the trial to certain remarks of the presiding judge * made while the jurors were being empanelled, to the refusal to rule as requested, and to the exclusion of evidence. We shall consider these contentions in the order stated.
