HUNTER, Justice.

The defendant, Exeell Williams, was convicted by a jury of delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance. He was sentenced to twenty and ten years respectively and now raises the following issues in this direct appeal.

1. Whether the trial court erred in failing to grant defendant’s motion to discharge based on an alleged violation of his right to a speedy trial;
